BrandQuest

BrandQuest, is a strategy and brand management consultancy that intrinsically believes that great brands are born of the founders and staff who work there. They are not the result of an outsourced creative endeavour but the cumulative knowledge that a company possesses.
Starting a business on your own can be quite a challenging process, which is exactly why the BrandQuest was founded. After helping out the same client launch his business in 2005, Jason Eisner and Graeme Gladman met. As the launch of the new business was a pure success, they decided to make their own company, the BrandQuest.

This company claims that the fast growth and fast marketing is exaggerated in many myths and that there is no need to be complicated if you want to reach success. The essential ingredients for success are simply, consistency, organized execution, discipline and in-depth thinking.

BrandQuest focuses on five fundamental questions, and after answering them, you are bound to create a successful business. At BrandQuest they truly value their capability to create marketing and brand strategies that have been proven to help businesses grow, as they become more sustainable and more competitive.

Distinguished and Famous people from Balranald

Balranald and its surrounding river country have connections with business, early photography and Aboriginal songwriting. Some people began life here; others arrived after their best-known work elsewhere and made the district part of a later chapter.

🤝 John Boyd Cramsie

John Boyd Cramsie was born in Balranald in 1871, the son of a storekeeper who later represented the district in Parliament. Cramsie's own career took him into station management, stock agency and the meat industry. He became chairman of the Metropolitan Meat Industry Board and the first chairman of the Australian Meat Council, working on processing, transport and export arrangements. His local birthplace connects Balranald with a national industry that depended on effective links between pastoral properties and markets.

📷 Townsend Duryea

Photographer Townsend Duryea moved to the Riverina after an 1875 fire destroyed his Adelaide studio and collection of negatives. He took up a selection near Yanga Lake and spent his later years in the district. His earlier career had produced panoramas, portraits and an important record of colonial South Australia. The Balranald association belongs to the period after that photographic work; he died in 1888 and was buried at Parkside near the town.

🎵 Dougie Young

Songwriter Dougie Young spent time living in Balranald, adapting a song about Wilcannia for friends there and composing Alf Kelly for the family with whom he stayed. His songs drew on Aboriginal experiences, station work and the towns of western New South Wales. Recordings and performances by folk singers brought his work to wider audiences. The local link is unusually direct: Balranald people and friendships became part of the songs themselves.
